Job Summary
We are seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, programming, testing, installing, and commissioning industrial automation systems while providing technical support to clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications for industrial automation projects.
- Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of automation systems.
- Prepare electrical schematics, control panel designs, I/O lists, and technical documentation.
- Execute installation, startup, commissioning, and site acceptance testing.
- Configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, servo drives, instrumentation, and industrial communication networks.
- Diagnose and resolve automation and electrical issues at customer sites.
- Provide preventive maintenance, technical support, and system upgrades.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.
- Prepare project reports, commissioning reports, and technical documentation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PLC Programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, Mitsubishi, Delta, Omron, or similar platforms).
- Hands-on experience with HMI and SCADA development.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, and OPC.
- Experience with electrical control panel design and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and industrial instrumentation.
- Ability to read and prepare electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for project installation and commissioning.
Preferred Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation and electrical engineering.
- Experience working with manufacturing plants, OEMs, system integrators, or process industries.
- Ability to independently manage automation projects from engineering through commissioning.
- Strong customer service mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
