About the Role
DCPS Middle East is looking for a professional, hands-on Service & Commissioning Engineer/Technician to support our growing UPS, VFD and critical power business across the UAE.
The candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and after-sales service of UPS and VFD systems at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test and commission UPS and VFD systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, control and communication faults.
- Configure and parameterize VFDs and UPS systems.
- Attend customer service calls and resolve technical issues professionally.
- Carry out UPS battery checks, system health checks and performance testing.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, SLDs, wiring diagrams and manuals.
- Conduct site inspections and identify equipment/service requirements.
- Coordinate with customers, contractors, OEMs and internal engineering teams.
- Prepare professional service reports, commissioning reports and site documentation.
- Support warranty, AMC and emergency service activities.
- Maintain service tools, testing equipment and spare parts.
- Follow UAE site safety, HSE, PTW and LOTO requirements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Power Engineering or related field.
- 4–5 years of relevant hands-on experience in UPS, VFD, power electronics or industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with brands such as Socomec, ABB, Schneider/APC, Eaton, Riello, Danfoss, Siemens, GE, Fuji or similar is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
- Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems.
- Valid UAE Driving License Mandatory.
- UAE/GCC site experience preferred.
